00 an hour 1 hour ago 1 hour ago 1 hour ago The Main Gate Security Guard is responsible for providing security services at the main gate entrance of a private school.
This position requires high vigilance and attention to detail to ensure the safety of the school's students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
Guards main gate Enforce school policies and procedures related to security, parking, and traffic control.
Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects the school property, and monitors crowds.
Check-in, verify visitors, greet guests, and ensure unauthorized people or products do not enter or leave the school premises.
Keep a guest log of incoming and outgoing personnel.
Ability to use computer and traffic management software.
Directing visitors, issuing guest passes, and checking credentials Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to Management and in the absence of local authorities.
Contact law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
After business hours, check doors, windows, and gates to ensure the school is secure.
Investigates reports to Management of suspicious activity on the property.
Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.
Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
Performs traffic management as needed.
Does not interact with students and staff except for security and safety.
Works closely with other security guards on the property.
Availability to work extended hours, weekends, and special school activities.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Security guard training certification is required.
2 years previous experience required Equipment Used:
Handheld transceiver (aka Walkie-talkie) Security Gear.
Surveillance Monitors/equipment POI Detection System Physical Demands:
Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.
Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary.
Trained and licensed for the use of handcuffs.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
